I'll explain the structure of the Blippoo Box, a quite original instrument designed and built by the dutch synthesizer builder Rob Hordijk, that I have studied extensively. It's something like a "patch in a box" that works via different methods of self-modulation. I chose the Blippoo Box because it uses several different kinds of feedback self-modulation in different ways to achieve potentially chaotic behaviour, while at the same time being a very playable performance instrument - a highly interesting case study with lots to learn from. | ||
